Exciting times here at Mama FeelsGood we are extending our range of nursing clothing , so to go with our range of nursing T-shirts (both graphic nursing tops and plain nursing T-shirts) are are designing some nursing dresses and are looking for you input.

We have a pretty good idea od which direction we are going to head in and without giving too much away have 1 nursing dress pretty much designed, but as we always say we love to get feedback from our customers and want to know what you would want from a dress you can breast feed in. Would ladies like something more “dressy” ie something you could wear to work, out on a night and during the day or is a causal nursing dress more appropriate? 

Also length, on the knee, below the knee? Whats you fav?

There is soo many designs to choose from when thinking up new ideas for nursing clothing and lots of women say there is never anything nice in the breastfeeding clothing market that doesn’t obviously look like nursing wear so now ladies is your chance to create nursing clothing you would actually want to wear.

WOW this is what 1 lady said at “The Little Monster Show” we attended on sunday, how cool is that. It was such a lovely thing to hear (hey we all love a bit of bigging up sometimes!!) she also said we shoould think about having a stall at the Baby show in Birmigham NEC or Excel in London.

It had defiantely given us something to think about, advertising can be really expansive as i’m sure you can guess, so ladies if you dig our tees let your friends know !! Actually we are expecting the post man to bring at any time our copy of Vogue magazine that we are in. Thats 1 small perk of actually being featured in it you get to receive a copy the day before it goes on general release.

Would be totally awesome to see any of our customers wearing our tees, we are really really chuffed with how well our shirts have been recieved since we opened in october. We’ve had some fabulous letters and emails from ladies who really get where we are coming from and really dig our style, and it would be cool to see you guys wearing them.

We did our photoshoot for our new tees a few weeks back now and well over 1000 pictures were taken, gotta say some of them are real gems….from a comic point of view ha ha. Ok i am not brave enough to stand in front the camera , hey it’s alot harder than you think. Jess our model does a totally fab job, and hey sh’e gonna be in Vogue along with Sheri our other model next week when our shirts get featured there.

Anyways we are considering selling blank breastfeeding tees so here’s a little snap shot…enjoy

This is our first show so we are sure this is going to be a steep learning curve, and as always we are totally un prepared but we’re sure on the day things will be cool. With the new breastfeeding tees we’ve been mega busy and to be honest haven’t given the show too much thought but we’ve just had some wicked posters made which we are gonna bring along which look fab.

This is a busy week for us, as we are appearing in Vogue magazine on Thursday so it;s sending our orders abit crazy, so in one way thats really cool, but in another we’re getting low on alot of styles fast. Luckily you guys are such a fab lot you’ve had alot of patience with us

Mama Feelsgood- funky maternity & nursing T-shirts

March 5th 2009 and Mama Feelsgood Maternity Tees are going to appear in UK Vogue magazine and we are totally stoked. Yes it is a small appearance but hey baby it’s Vogue and our maternity tops are going to be in there!

I watched Sex And The City the movie last night and in it Carrie Bradshaw appeared in Vogue magazine and it brought it home to me how amazing it really is to be approached by the to appear in the feature they are running.

I could tell you which maternity tops the guys at Vogue have picked out to appear (i created a short list for them to choose from) but that would ruin the surprise, so we are gonna make you guys wait ha ha.

Who knows our breastfeeding tops might make it in there soon. We’ve had loads of really fabulous feedback about our maternity & nursing tees which is amazing , and i recently had the most amazing letter which has gone up on the wall of my office, next to it soon will be the Vogue maternity article!!

Come check out our stand at the Little Monster Show  it is being held on the 8th March 2009 at Ahton Gate footbal stadium and it all kicks of about 10-30 – 11.am .

This is the first ever show we have done so it will be a steep learning curve! Our new maternity & breastfeeding shirts should be back from the printers today and it’s always exciting when you get new designs that you haven’t had printed before back. It’s like opening a present, keen to see if you like it or not.

We are having the photoshoot saturday so by Monday we will have the new design shirts up on the website, remember they are new designs of nursing shirts, so all the older 2008 style shirts will be taken off and sold on our Ebay account so alot of designs will be going. They are fabulous shirts but we are just evolving our designs, so wo knows they could become collectors items

Everybody we have a good feeling about 2009, odd ending years have been really good for us. So fingers crossed we are hoping our maternity and breastfeeding t-shirts become even bigger (pardon the punn).

We are really trying to offer something new, quality, affordability and funkt fresh designs which you will really wanna wear. We try not to pay for advertising which keeps the price of our tees dwn, so remember if you like what we do tell your friends

Ok so i was really sad to see the shut down of Woolworths this month. My nan use to buy loads of things from there when she was alive and when my parents were younger it was THE place people bought the majority of their things especially at christmas.

So it got me to thinking, business’s can be crazy things sometimes; seems to me you pay a fortune to advertise which in turn raises the cost of your stock (because you have to pay for this advertising ) and the whole thing is a viscious circle. We make no secret of the fact that this is Mama Feelsgood first year of trading, and we’ve worked really hard to get this far. Everything has seemed like a struggle but we are so proud of our product and service and thats something that won’t change. SO :

We thought we would do away with paying for expensive advertising and run on our word of mouth , this way we can keep the price of our shirts down and keep the fabulous quality, so remember if you like us tell people about us !!! The more word of mouth business the longer the nursing & maternity shirts can be kept cheaper.
