It’s SOOOOOO hot, i’m not very good with the heat to say the least so Baby Erin and myself will be staying mostly inside for this weekend which is supposed to be a stonker of a hot one.

Exciting times here at Mama FeelsGood we are extending our range of nursing clothing , so to go with our range of nursing T-shirts (both graphic nursing tops and plain nursing T-shirts) are are designing some nursing dresses and are looking for you input.

We have a pretty good idea od which direction we are going to head in and without giving too much away have 1 nursing dress pretty much designed, but as we always say we love to get feedback from our customers and want to know what you would want from a dress you can breast feed in. Would ladies like something more “dressy” ie something you could wear to work, out on a night and during the day or is a causal nursing dress more appropriate? 

Also length, on the knee, below the knee? Whats you fav?

There is soo many designs to choose from when thinking up new ideas for nursing clothing and lots of women say there is never anything nice in the breastfeeding clothing market that doesn’t obviously look like nursing wear so now ladies is your chance to create nursing clothing you would actually want to wear.

Also at the moment we are having a special on our short sleeve breastfeeding tops, so don;t miss a bargain because as much as we like a good sale they won’t be available at this price for much over a week. We’ve started off slow and have reduced a few and over the week will remove some from the sale and change them for others – well they do say a change is as good as a rest!

All our nursing tops work on the same principle of having 2 layers, the under layer having a double opening on either side ie left & right so you can just pull the top layer up and move the under layer across when you wanna feed your baby. So less tummy exposure!

Also a lot of ladies continue to wear their shirts after they stop feeding their babies, the top shirt really doens’t encounter too much stretch during the feeding process so doesn’t get stretched out of shape and the under layer has spandex in it so helps retain it;s shape. Some people snip the under layer out and wear just the top layer as a “normal” t-shirt after they have finishes with breastfeeding. So don’t look at the top as limited only to when you breastfeed , it;s a new addition toy our wardrobe which you can wear until you don;t want to!

What a great idea why not buy your partner / friend a nursing top for christmas

OK so i would say that considering i run a breastfeeding clothing brand !But it would make a good surprise and it is practical and it is something for the lady herself and not the baby.

Being 6 months pregnant myself and it is approaching christmas my dad asked me what i would like for christmas in the way of a present- he suggested maybe baby clothes or a cot……. hmmm sorry i don;t sleep in a cot and baby clothes would def not fit me. Don;t know if i am on my own in this but people don;t offer to buy my husband baby things as his present for christmas……

I am truly not un grateful as i am 36 now and don;t really expect anything for christmas at all (well apart from my husband who would be in deep do do’s if he didn;t get me anyhting!) but baby things? 

ALthough maternity clothes or nursing clothes are different as they are for me and would make me feel good and more comfortable.

I know everyone has different taste in clothes etc but it’s so nice to know some ladies really love and appreciate what i’, trying to do here, and it;s so cool when people just “get ” you

In the spirt if autumn and things turning a bit colder now (although i have to say for November things really aren’t that cold at all) though it would introduce our Owl breastfeeding T-shirt .

we’ve changed the design up a little from our previous printing of this nursing shirt and inversed the printing of it. We think it totally rocks, we think the print makes it clearer to see the little skulls on the design. It is 2 shirts in 1. The top t-shirt is just like a regular tee, and below is a hidden under vest with nursing openings on both sides. When you want to feed your baby you simply lift the top tee and move the undervest slightly to use the nursing openings. Keeps your tummy covered and helps hide you chest! As shown in additional pictures below.

I love halloween so much and it makes it even better when you have children to share it with. I’m going out to get my pumpkins this afternoon and and gonna take great joy in carving them, although what i’m gonna do with the inside is another thing. My imagination is pretty poor when it comes to cooking, so maybe the birds in my area are gonna have a little treat ha ha.

Just seeing them on Jess & Sheri when they modeled them was so cool, it’s not very often i get to see the breastfeeding shirts on people, as it’s an on-line store it can get a bit lonely …sob sob. Ha ha .

The photo shoot was really good to do, i thought we should change things up a bit from our previous photos of our nursing shirts so all the pictures were shot outside..hey on location!!! That sounds so posh but believe me it really wasn’t ha ha. 

Both Sheri and Jess our models were brilliant as always, able to strike a pose on the most awkward of places whilst still looking cool. Also Laura our resident photographer was brilliant (as she consistently is ) and not only took some amazing shots but her imagination and ideas were fantastic for angles and poses etc.

As we speak the final photographs are being choosen (there were 34 nursing tops in all photographed and over 1000 pictures taken!) and by late tomorrow night all the new breastfeeding shirts will be available for purchase on-line.

Hey we are NOT saying you have to have one of our nursing shirts to breastfeed your baby, but like a lot of things in life they make life so much easier. Going out in public can be a real confidence issue with some ladies when they know that their baby is going to need a feed whilst out. Hey when i had my daughter i kept making feeble excuses as to why i couldn’t pop out to the mall with my friends for a cuppa tea , reality was i didn’t want to have to face the issue of getting my boobies out in public let alone my gigantic jelly belly (and i’m not a size 8 pretending to know how bigger women feel i am a good size 18!) stretch marks and all; when the real issue was i was uncomfortable with feeding in public. A lot of women are, and i truly wished i wasn’t , it’s one of the most natural things in the world, but i couldn’t help the way i feel. Now i am 14 weeks pregnant with my second baby and i really do feel like things have changed. Lets face it i have a big wardrobe of nursing shirts to choose from! And they will help me to gain confidence and nbot be a hermit!!

OK so some people have asked who would want to wear their breastfeeding shirts after they stopped feeding? 

Our shirts we like to think are really something different, for a start they don’t look like regular nursing shirts, they aren’t frumpy, and they offer originality and are really well made, so it’s not like you want to get out of them as fast as you can, we’d like to think you actually like them! A lot of our customers cut the inside nursing layer out and then wear then as regular shirts, whilst some like the fact that the inner layer kinda holds you in a little. Breastfeeding isn’t for everyone, so if you want to try if for a few months/ weeks/ days and find you don’t get on with it etc then you can still wear your shirt, it’s not like it’s so obvious it’s for breastfeeding that you couldn’t wear it when you weren’t!

Hurrah had the big delivery i was waiting for yesterday of our nursing tops and even as we speak i am updating the stock levels of breastfeeding tops our site.

It’s been a crazy couple of days for us, we,ve brought in some new colour comblinations and tweeked a few of our graphic prints on the nursing tops so things are gradually changing. As with a lot of things everything takes so long!

We have some cracking new graphic prints ready to go but as yet no pictures! trying arrange a photo shoot when everyone can attend is truly an logistics nightmare, but as any women knows multi tasking is nothing new to us! 

So i am debating on whether to put some mock ups on the site until i have the shoot pictures, just so it gives you guys a chance to but and not have to wait?? What do you think?
