We thought it was about we spread the word a little about how fabulous our nursing tops are!! 

Not that we are big headed, but we are just super passionate about them and wanted to get the word out to as many people as possible. This is one thing i can’t get use to, you’ve got to say how great your product is when someone asks, and i truly do thing our brand and our nursing clothes are fabulous but i am a modest person! I think it might have something to do with being British? I have alot of american friends and if they have something good they scream from the roof tops about it. Here in the UK i think we are abit more reserved. What do you think?

The thing with breastfeeding your baby is sometimes it is uncertain if you will be able to or want to for a long period of time. Before i had my daughter i had the intentions of giving breastfeeding ago, see how i got on and with the knowledge that it’s best for your child i would give it the best shot i got.

Thing is in real life things don’t always work out the way you wanted. I had an emergency c-section after a very long and in the end dangerous labour (which both my daughter & my own life could have been lost) and i basically couldn’t produce the milk she needed (even though i tried for weeks). I wish i had known about industrial style breastpumps you can hire from your local council / midwife etc.

But anyways i’m going off on a tangent! I bought some breastfeeding tops to use, used them a couple of times and then they got thrown to the back of the wardrobe, money wasted! Not only did they not look good but i didn’t want everyone seeing the “Flaps” that they had in them, kinda looked like a nursing shirt too much!

So this was half of my inspiration to start Mama Feelsgood. Breastfeeding tops that can be worn whilst you feed your child and as they grow and you no longer have the functional need for them you can still wear them.

Some ladies have snipped out the under layer to wear just the top shirts as regular t-shirts. Others wear them as they are (with the purpose of using them again with future babies) , i wear them as they are and i don’t breastfeed but they look mega funky.

Please don’t feel the need to stop wearing your breastfeeding shirt just because you no longer breastfeed. Just think when your child is older you can tell them “i use to wear this when you were little” !!

Everybody we have a good feeling about 2009, odd ending years have been really good for us. So fingers crossed we are hoping our maternity and breastfeeding t-shirts become even bigger (pardon the punn).

Ok so i was really sad to see the shut down of Woolworths this month. My nan use to buy loads of things from there when she was alive and when my parents were younger it was THE place people bought the majority of their things especially at christmas.

So it got me to thinking, business’s can be crazy things sometimes; seems to me you pay a fortune to advertise which in turn raises the cost of your stock (because you have to pay for this advertising ) and the whole thing is a viscious circle. We make no secret of the fact that this is Mama Feelsgood first year of trading, and we’ve worked really hard to get this far. Everything has seemed like a struggle but we are so proud of our product and service and thats something that won’t change. SO :

We thought we would do away with paying for expensive advertising and run on our word of mouth , this way we can keep the price of our shirts down and keep the fabulous quality, so remember if you like us tell people about us !!! The more word of mouth business the longer the nursing & maternity shirts can be kept cheaper.

Ok so it’s nearly christmas here and the weather is totally freezing here in the UK but remember we delivery worldwide, so people in hotter places of the world we ar ehere for you!!.Alot of people can’t stand the cold weather here and a few of my friends have jetted off for warmer climates, and gotta say our Mama 8 Ball maternity tee would be a fantastic addition to any holiday wardrobe.

The thing with being pregnant is you can span alot of different seasons, and realistically you want to get as much wear as possible out of your maternity clothes. We do sell alot of long sleeve maternity tee,s but dont forget if our baseball short sleeve takes you fancy you can always layer it up with a “normal” tee, especially if you are in your earlier stages of pregnancy. All our maternity t-shirts are longer length so will keep your bump warm and hide any bump that might poke out!!

I think the last post via royal mail to gaurentee to be there for christmas is something like the 19th of december so if you think about it, it’s not that far away. So really you are going to have to be organised if you want to buy a breastfeeding top or maternity top for a christmas present. We are getting some more re-printed so more sizes will be available before christmas, so are getting a wriggel on so promise they will be here.
