OK what is a breastfeeding top also known as a nursing top?

Our nursing tops are designed so there is a top layer shirt – looks just like a regular shirt, you can’t tell from looking at it that it’s designed for breastfeeding. So no flaps, poppers, and there is no chance your bossom will fall out. Everything is covered!

Here’s on of our breastfeeding tops to ilustrate:

So now it’s time for where the magic happens! Sewn into the nursing shirt is an under layer shirt.

This under layer works via 2 larger openings placed under neath the arms. So when it’s time to breastfeed you lift up the top shirt and pull the under layer to one side and hey presto boobie available for feeding.

No post baby tummy is on show because it’s covered completely by the underlayer, and the top shirt helps cover your boobs when feeding.

Heres a picture of the nursing openings:

Each layer of the shirt are sewn together so when you put the shirt on or when you are breastfeeding one shirt won’t move around and become uncomfortable.

Also because the under layer shirt is made with spandex in it (95% cotton 5% spandex) it can stretch to accomodate the larger bust. As we know during breastfeeding sometimes your breasts can become engorged and change in size at different feeding times/ during the day and the extra stretch in the shirt allows for this.

With the top shirt being 100% cotton this is fantastic for sopping up little spills of milk. So if you are out and about and your baby or yourself makes a little mess try and aim for the under layer of the breastfeeding shirt and then no one will see when the top layer is pulled back down!!

We’re really trying to make mums life that little bit easier and provide nursing clothing that is yet functional and nice to wear! No more ugly tops for you mummy!

We are always open to suggestions, so if there are any comments you would like to add please feel free, we’d love to hear from you.

We were super chuffed this week to hear one of our customers thought our breastfeeding tops are the best breastfeeding tops available…woo hoo.

Honestly we really do try to bring you not only good quality breastfeeding tops , but nursing tops you would actually want to wear even if you weren’t breastfeeding and at a price that is not mega expensive.

We don’t skimpt on fabric in our breastfeeding tops, and of you think about it you are getting 2 tops for the price of 1 because we use the brilliant method of having a discret under shirt which keep you covered but you can still breasfteed from whilst having the cover of the top shirt.

We will be expanding our range o breastfeeding tops soon, so keep you eyes out for more fabulous funky nursing tops

Never say never! Gwyneth Paltrow, who last year revealed she had “no plans” to add a third child to her family with husband Chris Martin, appears to have had a change of heart! In an interview with the UK’s New magazine, the 36-year-old actress said that watching son Moses, 3, grow older has filled her with nostalgia. “At first I thought, ‘Okay, that’s it, I’m done, no way will I have anymore,’” Gwyneth recalls. “Then my son turned two and you think ‘Oh no, I don’t want this to be the last two-year-old I have. Maybe I’ll do one more.’”

Regardless of whether she does go on to welcome another child, Gwyneth has already been profoundly changed by Moses and his 4 ½-year-old big sister Apple Blythe Alison. She explains,

“Motherhood enriches your life in the most incredible way. My children have given me a real life. I never feel I don’t know what my purpose in life is anymore

Alot of celebrities are using twitter more and more. Famous twitter users being Barack Obama , Stephen Fry, jonathan Ross etc etc but alot are using twitter to release the news of their new baby and to show their first pictures to the public .

One recent example of this was Jamie Oliver and the arrival of his new baby daughter Petal. Jamie posted pictures pre and post delivery, one photograph released onto twitter showed Jamie in a hospital surgical hat pre baby , and another was a lovely picture outside the hospital with Jools and petal. It’s amazing to get such a private in sight into the couples journey into parent hood and in a way it’s nice the famous couple could control which pictures were released as apose to press shots which they have very little control over which shots are used.

American singer Erykah Badu and her boyfriend, Jay Electronica, have taken “sharing” to a whole new level — by guiding their fans through every minute detail of Badu’s homebirth via Twitter. Now this is a little more extreme. The singer and her boyfriend proceeded to post alot of detail about the birth how man cm’s she was dilated etc, hmmm maybe a case of too much information?

If you fancy having a bash a twitter i am on there all the time with my daily ramblings, come say hi we are http://twitter.com/maternitytees .

We are all about progression here at Mama Feelsgood and we really wanted to know as a nursing mother which kinds of breastfeeding tops ie the mechanisms they use to feed do you prefer?

Do you like our current method of breastfeeding tops which work on a double shirt method, you basically lift up the top shirt and underneath is another shirt but with double openings so you have your stomach covered at all times along with your back.

There are other methods of nursing opening, tops which you pull down to feed your baby rather than pull up.

Shirts which are wrap / cross over style which you can pull to one side to feed your baby. Which do you think you would prefer?

There are even breastfeeding tops which have a built in shrug, but to be honest i think these look abit hideous (just my personal opinon).

We really want to enourage ladies not to feel intimidated to feed their babies whilst out and about in public and providing good funky breastfeeding clothing can only help the situation. You don;t want to buy a top because it does the job you’ve got to like the top too and thats what we are really trying to do here at Mama Feelsgood, just like then name suggests we want mama’s to feel good in themselves.

This seems to be one pregnancy rumour that won’t go away. In the past 2 months or so there have been various photographs of Kate with apparetnly “a baby bump”, to be honest i can’t say i saw much of a baby bump; maybe she just had a large meal or something.

But this recent picture click here to see of when Kate opened the New York TopShop store on Thursday had people chatting again. Some people have said it is a defined bump but i’m not sure. I know Kate Moss have every right to keep her personal life just that but it can’t be nice to under sucj speculation all the time. I mean maybe she just has gas or somthing!

When asked about the pregnancy rumours Kate moss was quoted as saying”I’ve just started wearing bras. It’s a miracle. Great timing for my lingerie collection. I am a woman now. It’s true. Honestly, I’ve never worn a bra in my life. Ever! It’s so awful, even my friends are phoning me up and saying, ‘Are you pregnant? And I’m like ‘No! I just put on a couple of pounds and they went in the right place.”

Well only time will tell, thats if anyone is interested anyway???

”

Bounty is Barclays’ baby

THE company that runs the popular website for new mothers, Bounty.com, has been bought by Barclays’ private-equity arm for £54m.

The marketing firm Bounty Group was founded in 1959 and is best known for the goodie bags it provides for new parents. It claims to have 3m members and estimates that it reaches 90% of all new babies born in the UK. It publishes a range of pamphlets and books to help new mothers and launched Bounty.com nine years ago.

The business has been bought and sold several times. Barclays acquired it from Kaboose, a Canadian new-media company, which had acquired Bounty in 2007.

Kaboose has also sold its American operations, including the websites Babyzone.com and Amazingmoms.com, to the interactive division of Walt Disney.

Kat Breastfeeding Tee

Sometimes to go out of the comfort of your own home and have to breastfeed can be a daunting task, especially if it’s your first time. But what can you do, i mean your baby has to eat and you can’t be a hermit the entire time you breastfeed!!!!! So i found a super cool website that can give a little bit of advice:

Click Here for abit of advice.

But remember girls our breastfeeding tops or as some like to call them nursing tops are such a benefit for nursing in public.

Because of the double layer design of the nursing top there is NO TUMMY EXPOSURE !

Easy to feed from either side as the nursing top is designed to feed from either left or right

No buttons / zips/ poppers or hideous things like that. Just pull up and feed

All our breastfeeding tops look like regular tops so you don’t have to stand out

No need for carrying muslin squares of fabrc to cover up around with you, just put your top on and go.

Seriously all our nursing shirts are really well made and hard wearing. They look super cool and i wear one and i don’t even breastfeed anymore. Check one out today ! www.mamafeelsgood.com
