Everybody we have a good feeling about 2009, odd ending years have been really good for us. So fingers crossed we are hoping our maternity and breastfeeding t-shirts become even bigger (pardon the punn).

We are really trying to offer something new, quality, affordability and funkt fresh designs which you will really wanna wear. We try not to pay for advertising which keeps the price of our tees dwn, so remember if you like what we do tell your friends

Mama Feelsgood- changing the frump to funky

Ok so i was really sad to see the shut down of Woolworths this month. My nan use to buy loads of things from there when she was alive and when my parents were younger it was THE place people bought the majority of their things especially at christmas.

So it got me to thinking, business’s can be crazy things sometimes; seems to me you pay a fortune to advertise which in turn raises the cost of your stock (because you have to pay for this advertising ) and the whole thing is a viscious circle. We make no secret of the fact that this is Mama Feelsgood first year of trading, and we’ve worked really hard to get this far. Everything has seemed like a struggle but we are so proud of our product and service and thats something that won’t change. SO :

We thought we would do away with paying for expensive advertising and run on our word of mouth , this way we can keep the price of our shirts down and keep the fabulous quality, so remember if you like us tell people about us !!! The more word of mouth business the longer the nursing & maternity shirts can be kept cheaper.

I am into Katy Perrys music at the moment (ie  i kissed a Girl and i like it ) so thought this title was quite appropriate because i got an email from Nancy one of my totally cool customers. Basically she wrote to let me know that she bought an 8 Ball nursing shirt and she loved it! i was totally chuffed when i read her email, it’s always really really nice to get feedback like that.

I’ve got tonsillitis at the moment too, major bummer right before christmas too, so that email made me smile. I’ve had a really busy couple of days so i hope all you guys who have ordered get your maternity tees or breastfeeding tops in time for christmas. Belly bands have been going real fast too, probably because they are so versitile and like i mentioned before you can wear your “normal” fancy evening clothes and cover your bump with the band.

Wow 2009 is nearly here, time goes really fast.

So to welcome the new year in we are planning to add a few new lines to our breastfeeding tee collection.  We now have our designs available in a cutie pink colour tee, available in both long and short sleeve nursing styles.

We also have some really fab new graphic prints to add to our range, they really rock so it’s quite exciting. We also have to start about getting our act together  for the little monster show we are doing in March, I know March seems like along way away but it’s not really, and i am terrible at organising things sometimes, i am more of a fly by the seat of your pants person; but i want some nice banners etc so these will need designing and making etc which mean alot of time!!

I’ll keep you updated on the progress!

Mama Feelsgood- funky maternity & breastfeeding tees

Tonight is the Start up Live Business event held in Bristol and i am going to it , should be cool. I have been to a previous one and it was really good, quite helpfull really and considering it is free i thought it was very well put together.

The speakers tonight are :

	Keynote: Nick Baker Managing Director, Sharps Brewery
	Hear how Nick purchased Sharps Brewery in 2003 , a small micro brewery in Rock, Cornwall. The result has been a transformation of the business, with its principle brand Doombar becoming one of the fastest growing beer brands in the U.K

Lets hope he has brought some free samples with him ha ha.

There is always a fabulous free raffle at the end too which is quite a generous one, so will out my name in that for sure. I get a little bit uneasy at some of these events as some people really like to show off and boast alot about their business, and really i think the clue is in the events name Start-ups, if you are a massive company there really is no need to go, i love Mama Feelsgood but to boast about it really isn’t me…..well sometimes ha ha.

If i spot a pregnant lady i will have to grab her and have a chat!!

Mama Feelsgood - Maternity & Breastfeeding tees

I am honestly not joking but i went out Friday night for an early christmas meal with some work friends (thanks Christine for organising that) and i had a hair in my soup, not any old hair…..yeap the worst kind …yeap your right one of those!!!

Shame because it was a really nice soup!!! The main course was really nice and the desert was out of this world but after having a bad experience with the starter it  kinda put me off the restuarant!!

Some exciting times ahead for Mama Feelsgood, with the new year aproaching it is a really good time to reflect on things business wise and plan a path ahead for where we are going to go with the business. We are going to release more desgins to broaden our range of graphic tees, and hopefully some new style tees , both maternity and breastfeeding will be hitting our store in 2009. With the credit crunch it is a scary time to be starting a business but we are really happy with the first couple of months we have been trading, and really enjoy what we do.

Mama Feelsgood - Maternity tees you wanna wear!

Man this made me laugh when i watched it. I admit i don’t watch Family Guy very much but my friends rave about it , so when i spotted this clip on You Tube i thought it might be cool to share!

Maybe i should consider doing breastfeeding tops for men? ha ha Stu definately looked like he could do with a nursing bra !!!! Maybe i will have to catch some re-runs of family guy, they show them on one of the various sky channels so might be good for a laugh. Although lately i have been watching the Last millionaire on BBC 3 , some of them really don’t do very well i was a little surprised. If half of them did nothing they would have had more cash and maybe won….

Just wanted to say thanks to all our customers and friends thanks for the feedback. As we are a new company the only way we are going to get things spot on is to receive feedback from our customers so to all those people who have sent emails / letters thanks guys

Whether good or bad all feedback is always well received, thats how we can make things better. We are planning to change our postage charges for maternity acessories as we basically based all our postage charges on sending T-shirts and not the bands alone. So hopefully with some help from Rapid Web (our website company) we can change our postage rates to if you buy a belly band alone it will be a flat rate of £1.20.

Also it’s very exciting our second run of breastfeeding tees will be in store hopefully in January and these are a little different from our ones at the moment as the under layers have 95% cotton 5 % spandex, and they are slightly a  longer length. We are also introducing some new graphics which will be totally cool.
