So just in case you were after some funky nursing shirts to chill out in the heat ( or not heat!) we have some lush ones. Even better they are all year round shirts really because in the winter you can just pop a cardigan over the top.

Wow what a scorcher today, don’t know about you but here in Bristol it was baking. Just the right kinda day to go out, find a nice spot under a tree somewhere cool and chill out.

Thats the great thing about breastfeeding you don;t have to worry about bringing bottles along with you, and keeping things sterile etc so when you wanna go out you can travel just that bit lighter (ok agreed still need nappies, and the odd cloth but hey every little helps!).

So on lovely summers day we thought our Melons funky nursing shirt would be perfect . Great pastel pink colour was made for the summer, and the 1950′s funky graphic print really sets this shirt off.

As it’s coming up to summer we thought we would make our Island breastfeeding top available in short sleeve black too (available in Pink & Dark Grey also short sleeve ).

We are also over the weekend going to add a few more nursing shirts to our site, so it just makes a few more breastfeeding tops available in different colours. Gotta say the black breastfeeding tops are really slimming, i wear mine all the time ( and i don;t breastfeed anymore) and i think it makes me look about 10lbs lighter (shame i can’t event somthing for all over your body! ha ha) .

The thing with breastfeeding your baby is sometimes it is uncertain if you will be able to or want to for a long period of time. Before i had my daughter i had the intentions of giving breastfeeding ago, see how i got on and with the knowledge that it’s best for your child i would give it the best shot i got.

Thing is in real life things don’t always work out the way you wanted. I had an emergency c-section after a very long and in the end dangerous labour (which both my daughter & my own life could have been lost) and i basically couldn’t produce the milk she needed (even though i tried for weeks). I wish i had known about industrial style breastpumps you can hire from your local council / midwife etc.

But anyways i’m going off on a tangent! I bought some breastfeeding tops to use, used them a couple of times and then they got thrown to the back of the wardrobe, money wasted! Not only did they not look good but i didn’t want everyone seeing the “Flaps” that they had in them, kinda looked like a nursing shirt too much!

So this was half of my inspiration to start Mama Feelsgood. Breastfeeding tops that can be worn whilst you feed your child and as they grow and you no longer have the functional need for them you can still wear them.

Some ladies have snipped out the under layer to wear just the top shirts as regular t-shirts. Others wear them as they are (with the purpose of using them again with future babies) , i wear them as they are and i don’t breastfeed but they look mega funky.

Please don’t feel the need to stop wearing your breastfeeding shirt just because you no longer breastfeed. Just think when your child is older you can tell them “i use to wear this when you were little” !!

Our breastfeding tops are functional, funky and really something new and original you would wanna wear being a Mummy or not!

This is our first show so we are sure this is going to be a steep learning curve, and as always we are totally un prepared but we’re sure on the day things will be cool. With the new breastfeeding tees we’ve been mega busy and to be honest haven’t given the show too much thought but we’ve just had some wicked posters made which we are gonna bring along which look fab.

This is a busy week for us, as we are appearing in Vogue magazine on Thursday so it;s sending our orders abit crazy, so in one way thats really cool, but in another we’re getting low on alot of styles fast. Luckily you guys are such a fab lot you’ve had alot of patience with us
