Ok so we received and email asking how our nursing tops work ie the functionality of them; we have written in the wording next to each shirt how they work and what we have figured out is a lot of people don;t read it ! ha ha, so this makes us think we have to get the point across without so much reading! 

There is also a thumbnail of a photograph on each of the nursing top pages to show that breastfeeding top works, so just click on it and it shows the side opening in the under layer of the shirts.I think in future i will get a page done of it’s own to show and tell ladies how it works because i know when you are new to these tops it’s like how’s that gonna work etc ha ha!

So our nursing tops work on the basis that each shirt has a regular looking top layer, so they look like “normal” t-shirts and sewn into them is an under layer. SO they are 1 shirt, you cannot take the under layer away it’s sewn into the shirt so it doesn’t move about and bunch up etc.

So when it comes to feeding your baby you pull the top layer of the nursing shirt up so it exposes the under layer (your tummy is still covered by the under layer) and they choose which side you want to feed from. Then simply there are vertical opening on each side of the under layer of the breastfeeding shirt and you undo or pull down your bra, pull the underlayer across slightly and hey presto you can feed. After a bit of getting use to the top some ladies have perfected the art of doing it with one hand !

You can then use the top layer of the nursing shirt to provide some privacy and the bottom layer is great for mopping up little spills of milk. One ladies commented that her baby was quite a messy drinker and loved to ping off the breast then latch back on but in the process squirted a lot of milk every where and she then had to walk around with wet patches on her shirt, since using our tops the under layer soaked a lot of the excess milk up and she could pull the top layer down to cover the patches on the under layer! So hey they are many benefits to our nursing tops!!

OK what is a breastfeeding top also known as a nursing top?

Our nursing tops are designed so there is a top layer shirt – looks just like a regular shirt, you can’t tell from looking at it that it’s designed for breastfeeding. So no flaps, poppers,and there is no chance your bossom will fall out. Everything is covered!

So now it’s time for where the magic happens! Sewn into the nursing shirt is an under layer shirt.

This under layer works via 2 larger openings placed under neath the arms. So when it’s time to breastfeed you lift up the top shirt and pull the under layer to one side and hey presto boobie available for feeding.

No post baby tummy is on show because it’s covered completely by the underlayer, and the top shirt helps cover your boobs when feeding.

Each layer of the shirt are sewn together so when you put the shirt on or when you are breastfeeding one shirt won’t move around and become uncomfortable.

Also because the under layer shirt is made with spandex in it (95% cotton 5% spandex) it can stretch to accomodate the larger bust. As we know during breastfeeding sometimes your breasts can become engorged and change in size at different feeding times/ during the day and the extra stretch in the shirt allows for this.

With the top shirt being 100% cotton this is fantastic for sopping up little spills of milk. So if you are out and about and your baby or yourself makes a little mess try and aim for the under layer of the breastfeeding shirt and then no one will see when the top layer is pulled back down!!

We’re really trying to make mums life that little bit easier and provide nursing clothing that is yet functional and nice to wear! No more ugly tops for you mummy!

We have so many pictures on our hardrive from both shoots we have done for our maternity and breastfeeding shirts it’s amazing. Some of them i can assure you are comedy gold ha ha. Although i’m not too sure if Jess & Sheri would appreciate you seeing them (they are our models).

We were super chuffed this week to hear one of our customers thought our breastfeeding tops are the best breastfeeding tops available…woo hoo.

Honestly we really do try to bring you not only good quality breastfeeding tops , but nursing tops you would actually want to wear even if you weren’t breastfeeding and at a price that is not mega expensive.

We don’t skimpt on fabric in our breastfeeding tops, and of you think about it you are getting 2 tops for the price of 1 because we use the brilliant method of having a discret under shirt which keep you covered but you can still breasfteed from whilst having the cover of the top shirt.

Ok so it might be a few months off but we are getting tres excited about our new range of  graphic breastfeeding tops.  There will be an extension to our current styles could be 4 more could be 8 hee hee we won’t say at the moment but they are going to be good.

We’re broadening our range of breastfeeding tops so can offer more choice in funky clothes for new mums. Thanks for all your comments on our first collection of nursing T-shirts, it has been really great to get letters and emails with positive comments and suggestions on how we can extend our range.

We really do wanna make Mama’s Feel Good, and their are big changes behind the scenes here in order to make this happen. We all work super hard here and we always want to deliver 100% to all our customers so things are chaning so whe can achieve this. some of our current graphic breastfeeding tops have been alot more popular than we thought, hence have gone for re-printing a few times causing delays, well this situation along with the influx of our new nursing tees is going to resolve this problem. So we promise that there will be more sizes and colours available for purchase at all times.

OK so alot of questions i get from people is what exactly is a breastfeeding top or nursing top ? What can it do for me?

Basically you have had a baby and you want to breastfeed your baby, and as you will know babies want to be fed alot, all times of the day and when they want a feed they WANT IT NOW!!!  Now combine this with your needs as a mother, you’re body has just gone through 1 of it’s biggest changes it probably ever will, and it’s still changing to meet the demands of your baby.

Getting use to the idea of getting your bangers out (apologies i watch far too much Gok ) all the time is a shocking idea, and pretty alien to us, add this to the fact you don’t really want to flash your new post baby muffin top to the world and the actual act of breastfeeding can be abit off putting for some ladies especially in public.

So our breastfeeding tops here at Mama Feelsgood are designed in a special way so to enable you to breastfeed whilst keeping your tummy covered and providing you with discretion whilst you feed your child. Whoop whoop our collection of long sleeve breastfeeding tops are now re-stocked and all new designs for February are in. There are short sleeve and even plain ones to come this week so keep your eyes peeled for all new designs.

Wow it’s been a busy week but hope you love our nursing tees.

We have had a really good start to the year and we are super pleased, but this does mean we are running low on styles and size’s especially in our breastfeeding Tee’s. Guys we are sorry but we promise we are working on this. Our shirts are at the printers as from monday so there is about a 10 day delay on getting the shirts in stock but we promise it will be worth the wait.

We are bringing in our new style nursing Tee’s so the under layer on them now has 5% spandex for added comfort and they are available in more colours too , we also will be offering plain breastfeeding shirts too
