Plus size maternity & breastfeeding clothes

So whats your thoughts on what is available in plus size ie above a 14 in maternity & breastfeeding clothes?

I went to our local Mall here in Bristol just to see what was available for the curvy pregnant lady and i gotta say the choice was really bad.

If a store did have a maternity section (and still not that many do) there really wasn’t a huge choice in clothes and the largest size i found was a 20. As for maternity jeans well they sucked big time even in “regular” sizes.

For a country where the average size is a 16 we don’t do well in offering a selection of styles and sizes.

As you guys know Mama Feelsgood is a fresh, young company and we are gradually building our range, and we are developing all the time. We do aim to offer maternity and breastfeeding clothes up to a size 22 by mid 2010 and we will be adding more style ranges in both our maternity and breastfeeding sections. We’d love to offer funky maternity jeans, but at this present time it’s not something we can go ahead with but that doesn’t mean we can’t plan ahead:)

Let us know what you want, and we can grow together…pardon the pun!

  1. I totally agree, Mothercare is absolutly awful. I can’t find 22 sized tops for discreet breastfeeding ANYWHERE. I thnk when you are a curvier lady too, discreation is more difficult when you have a large bust. Nursing clothes and also maternity tops with length to them so it doesn’t stop 1/2 way across your bump and not cover the panels on matty jeans etc. (D, mum of 5 soon)
