Hooter – new laid back nursing top

Sometimes in life there are times when you could just give yourself a pat on the back, i LOVE our new hooter nursing shirt so much it literally makes me smile when i look at it. The print has a really vintage retro cool feel about it, it reminds me of traveling through California in the sun, having no worries and having a blast…. ooh sorry just got carried away then ! ha ha.

Paul & Ben who do our screen printing (all our prints are hand printed) made the design look a little washed out but not too washed; it’s quite a skill to get the affect just right and these guys have been printing for years and years and really know their stuff, so our nursing tops always come out amazing. Lots of work goes into creating our breastfeeding tops so when you see them come out like this it’s HIGH 5 time!

Laura our photographer was amazing & so was our model Nat, this was shot last weekend when the weather here in Bristol was totally gross; we are talking rain that would just not stop and the fact that any shots were taken just goes to show how fab they are. It;s so cool to work with people who really get what you want. I am in love with these pictures.

We are so proud to have this nursing shirt in our collection , we have  another 2 new prints coming up over the next week too which are just as lush. Thought we would pace out the awesomness of our new breastfeeding top collection!

Cool Beans – Prima Pregnancy & Baby chose our nursing tops

What a cool week, Prima Pregnancy & Birth magazine have chosen our BLue Owl nursing top to feature in their magazine . It’s really great because we didn’t pay for this feature (lots of companies say hey we are in this magazine and actually they paid to be there) Prima actually really digs our range of nursing wear to chose our breastfeeding top to feature.

I gotta admit the owl nursing shirt is really cool, lots of our customers say they get loads of really nice comments when they wear them and nobody knows it’s a nursing top they think it’s just a really nice top . You see our nursing tops are not obvious and they are great to wear when you stop bereastfeeding too.

Here is our Feature in The Prima Pregnancy & Birth :

The pregnancy spanx featured in this page look kinda weird yet interesting. I think these would be great to help give your bump some support, i know when i had my 2 girls when it got to the end i felt my bump was moosive (it was although i think it was more of a food baby then my daughter, i did love the doughnuts!) and i bought a belt thing which was supposed to go under the bump to help support and take some strain off your back; i was ok for a bit nut i think it cut the blood supply off to my legs if i sat down! So these pregnancy spanx look like a good alternative.

So which is your favourite out of our nursing tops? We are just beginning with our wholesale programme and our nursing clothes will be available to by from Australia, Southern Ireland and a great store up in Scotland; so we are spreading the FeelsGood feeling around the world – slow but sure my friends. So if there is a store in your city you’d like to see our breastfeeding clothes then let them know about us and we can get the party started!

Trend setting breast feeding clothes

It’s really cool when someone describes you as a trend setter and this week that’s what our breast feeding tops have been called twice.

It’s kinda weird because we really love retro (I’m watching The Fresh Prince as I write this, I love fresh prince really cracks me up and Carltons dance is a classic) and 1950′s style so to be called a trend setter is preeeeettyy cool.

Sometimes I think if you really want to make a change you have to stick your neck out, take a chance and hope people see things the same way you do. Personally ( and this is just me) hated the mumsy maternity & nursing clothes available when I had my girls, and wanted to feel like me again and get up an put something I actually wanted to wear on and know for a fact I could breast feed in it, and also breast feed in it without showing everyone what I got!

my youngest daughter had colic when she was about 5 weeks old and she hasn’t for around 5 weeks and it knocked me for 6. My eldest daughter never had it so it took a while to guess what it was and I can remember no matter how much I rocked her she would be up crying all night and I mean all night. Even my singing if shiny happy people didn’t make an inpact (just for the record I cannot sing and Matt says the cats flock to our house when I do try !) . So for 5 weeks I just wanted something I knew I could throw on , look good, look like myself and feed her easily that and not need to remember to take anything out with me when I did Russle up enough energy to go out.

So it was pretty cool I owned a nursing clothes company! Now I know not everyone is gonna rock our style, I guess that’s why there are so many clothing brands in the world but I am honestly so chuffed at the support we have had so far , and we are making plans for the future that will see new n
Breast feeding clothes designs, and new products to help mums in their breast feeding journey.

We are spreading our wings and Mama FeelsGood nursing clothes wil be available in many places around the world, which is totally exciting and something I am super proud of.

Nursing tops for big breasts

We have lots of lovely breastfeeding tops which are suitable for ladies with bigger breasts.

This is our Owl breastfeeding Tee in Blue , it’s super soft and has a really pretty boat neck design ; it has been designed so you can nurse your baby really simply , just lift the top shirt up and pull either side of the under vest aside (depending upon which boob you’re going to breastfeed from) and there you go, access to nurse. The undervest keeps your tummy covered and is the same colour os the top shirt so you can’t even tell if your not looking very hard that your top shirt has been pulled up. The undershirt has 5% elastane so is stretchy and can be moved around bigger boobs without digging in.

One problem with being gifted in the boobie department is that some tops are big everywhere ie not just in the boob area so it  looks like you are wearing someone elses shirt. Our nursing tops have been cut with the post baby shape in mind so do not come with bump; there is room for the post baby tummy ( hey we are normal women and your body isn’t gonna just snap back into shape, especially if you were like me and ate waaay to many doughnuts when pregnant) . Our nursing tops also have darts at the bust region so add more shape which helps to fit you better.

If you want to take a closer look at our size charts to get the correct fit for you all bust measurements are on there (size charts are found on the product description pages) .

New range of breastfeeding T-shirts and new website

Sorry i have been a bit slack on my blog postings, mainly because so much has been going on both with the business and in my home life it;s been hard to keep up!

On the work front i am super excited to say our new shirts have arrived, they are really nice ( i know you would think i would say this but they are ) i had them delivered with no hassle (all other previous deliveries had involved a lot of drama in one form or another , which had given me cold sweats every time i knew a delivery was on it;s way) i managed this one all on my own and now have biceps like arnie but all the shirts are here safely.

It’s true what they say that you need good people working around you, the kinda people who you know have got your back, and i am really lucky to have retained people like this and i;ve found new ones too that hopefully if they are as good as i think they will be cool for Mama FeelsGood.  It sucks big time to be let down by people who you had previously trusted so i’ve just had a taste of this and it wasn’t nice but i’ve put this down as a learning experience and changed certain aspects of the business ie don;t get an accountant that doesn’t do anything!

I’ve also been to Germany this Spetember to the mooooosive trade show for nursery products and i’ve found some really cool designers and baby changing bags etc which are super cool and if things work out ok i’d like to sell on-line.

We have our new website waiting in the wings, i’ve just got to learn how to use it! This my take some time ha ha

We also have our photoshoot on saturday which will be in the centre of bristol so fingers crossed for the good weather.

Things are changing and our new stock will be here soon. woo hoo

New breastfeeding Tops coming soon – well soonish !

We are busy working away on our new breastfeeding top collection, it’s amazing all the extra bits of work you have to do to get it together and with most things in life things tend to take lots longer then you would ever think. I can reveal we are having a update  to our website too which is exciting but again puts LOTS more on my to do list.

I’ve  seen the first rough draft of our new websites homepage and it’s lush, not too different from what we have now but better if that makes sense. I won’t give too much away as it won;t be ready for a fair few weeks yet; we will be launching it in conjunction with our new breastfeeding T-shirt range .

So what with a new website, new range of nursing clothes, there hasn’t be a lot of time for much else….oh yeah we moved warehouse  ! Matt worked SO hard moving and even i who “doesn’t do lifting ” pitched in and shifted literally tons of boxes. I hurt my back in a car accident a long time ago now and shouldn’t really lift ( plus i admit i am lazy sometimes) but  we had a time limit on moving the stock so had to get a move on. It’s a bit like when we get a delivery from our freight chaps from overseas you have a certain amount of time to empty the containers or they start charging you ! In the words of Scooby Doo or  ws it Shaggy JEPPERS!

So needless to say i moved by big butt and pitched in too. I did feel good at the end of it but the next day …man i felt bad.

So i’ll give a few more details of what to look forward too in our new breastfeeding top range, we will be having more maternity T-shirts too, so watch this space :)

Big Summer SALE – Breastfeeding clothes

Believe it or not it’s summer (21st June as longest day of the year marks summer right?) and by our weather here in the UK you wouldn’t know it. As i’m typing this it’s raining here in Bristol, so we have a lot of summer stock thats got to be sold so thought i would start the summer sale today!

We also have a lot more new breastfeeding tops coming into to stock soon which is quite exciting, lots of new graphics nursing tees with some new colours available; it’s taken longer to organize than i expected but everything  does with me! That is one of the drawback of working on your own you have to do everything, so it takes more time than you think even to do a little thing!

Along with our new stock we are planning new changes to our website which will be totally cool; i remember when we launched in October 2008 i loved our site (and still do) but things change so much and so quickly with the internet that new things are developed and i’m like a child in a toy shop and it’s like wooo i gotta have that. I don;t think Twitter was going or if it was it wasn’t that common when we started our website and look now!!

So back to the nursing clothes…. we have  a really good sale on, especially our Money Penny range of breastfeeding clothes they won’t  be available for this price for a while, we have our breastfeeding dress and nursing top for sale in our smarter breastfeeding clothes section  and LOADS of breastfeeding T-shirts on sale.

Metropolis Breastfeeding Tee On SALE now

Dudes our Metropolis breastfeeding T-shirt is on sale now for £9.99 that a  mega good deal.

We are low on numbers throughout the size range and they won;t be re-printed so if you want one get it now.

Our Mama’s Melons breast feeding top now on sale dudes

Yesterday we put our Mama’s Melons nursing T-Shirt on sale so we thought we’d better tell you guys about it!

It’s available on sale in Pink we do carry this print on a black nursing top too (but this isn’t on sale, just the pink shirt) and it’s one of our most popular breastfeeding tops so grab one up now while you can! We don’t have a huge range of sizes available, and shirts are limited to each size; we won’t be getting this re-printed on pink shirts again so this is your last chance to get one. In fact a lot of our pink shirts are on sale as we won’t be running with pink again for a while. I guess it’s more of a summer colour and so far here in the UK our summer has been crappy ! So we are getting others colours manufactured which should be cool, and provide more variation to what we carry at the moment.

Happy bank holiday guys, grab yourself a fabulous breastfeeding top for a really really good price.

Our Money Penny breastfeeding tops are super easy to nurse in, just lift the specially designed panel at the empire line, lift up and feed. It’s an addition to your overall wardrobe not just your maternity one!

Money Penny breastfeeding top black

Our nursing tops are available in either black or purple colours.

Money Penny breastfeeding top purple

They are going to taken off sale next week so grab one for a better price whilst you can :)

Say hi to our new breastfeeding T-shirt – Hugs

Check it OUT ladies our new breastfeeding graphic tee has landed in our store today, and i always say you can never have enough hugs !

Hugs Breastfeeding T-Shirt

As like all our new nursing T-shirts this baby has been hand silk screened right here in Bristol and in *real life* the colours are even more vibrant than this photo (have linked in some random shots of the tee taken in my back garden, don’t look at the fence ha ha)

IT’s a super cute design and hopefully will initiate lots of hugs for you :)

All our nursing tees work on the same principle where they are double layered and to breast feed your baby you lift the top layer (this is like a regular t-shirt) and underneath is an under shirt which keeps your tummy covered but has breastfeedign access on either side. So choose which side you want to nurse from and pull the under shirt to one side, and bingo. Top shirt helps to cover your boobage too so no flashing!
