It’s really good for networking and listening to the really inspirational talks by business people who have “made it”.

Last year i went and Tim Smit the founder of the eden project was a guest speaker, and he was fabulous. So funny, so enthausiastic and really pushed the point of not letting people deter you from what YOU really wanna do. The previous year Rachel Elnaugh spoke and again she was a real motivational person, fabulous choice of speaker i thought. Just shows you can be a women and have childrn and run your own big business.

Mama Feelsgood - Funky matenity & Breastfeeding tees.

 We are super chuffed with the great response all our Breastfeeding and maternity tees have been receiving. We’ve only been open a short space of time but thanks guys for finding us and supporting Mama Feelsgood. We’re working on getting a few more designs out there for you too, so probably after christmas / January time to celebrate 2009 we will release them.

Just sending some more shirts to print, so there will be more stock available in certain designs too.  Nice to know we sold out in some that we needed to up our screen printing schedule. We see that as a good sign, maybe not so fab for you guys because you have to wait so big apologies for that, we are on the case.

Mama Feelsgood- Where the nursing tops don’t stop rockin.

I Finally recovered from my day of heavy lifting like hundreds of boxes of breastfeeding tees, and maternity tees and found enough energy to go to a friendly womens business networking meeting ( Business Inspired ) which i go to once a month in Emersons Green.

It;s always really cool to meet new people at the meeting and last night i was lucky enough to meet Lisa who runs Handprints baby & toddler group in Little Stoke, Bristol. Honestly if you have just had a baby/ got children and you live in this neck of the woods you gotta check it out. It sounds an absolute blast there, one of the best things being they have homemade cakes and biscuits, and you can eat as many as you like, OOOOhhhhhh Yeah thats my kinda place!!

Maybe on the more important things they do provide wicked things for your children to do whilst they are there, and it’s an ideal place to find like minded people as yourself. Sometimes having had a baby it’s abit of a culture shock to not be at work with all your work mates and bascially be on yur own with your baby and both you and your baby sometimes need so social interaction. Lisa is such an enthausiastic person, she loves Handprints and it totally rubs off on you. They holfd ladies paper nights too and produce a local magazine , really trying to promote whats going on in Little Stoke.

Mama Feelsgood - Funky Maternity & Breastfeeding Tees

Whoa today is a BIG day in the hostory of Mama Feelsgood, we are getting our second big delivery in and it’s going to be a back breaker. Hey we don’t need forklift trucks or any fancy machines like that when you have a husband!!

No honestly we recently have got a small storage warehouse for all our new breastfeeding T-shirts   but there is no facility for forklifts (not that we would buy one, those monsters cost a fortune) so it’s a couple os sack trucks , me, matthew and matthew dad John oh and of course Amelia supervising ha ha.

This was the size of the first truck which came, so we aren’t talking mini truck or anyhting. Poop i wish i had bigger muscles, i expect my back will go by just looking at the boxes. hee hee.

Anyways the goodies on the truck totally out weigh the back breaking work. We have re jigged our nursing Tops design  and so all our new nursing shirts from now on will have a 90% cotton lycra underlayer, so it gives it a little extra stretch.

We’ll let you know when they are ready for purchase guys.

Remember when you buy one of our breastfeeding tees you can continue to wear it after you stop breastfeeding. I just read an on-line article where a woman really slated breastfeeding tops saying you don’t really need one blah blah blah, well you don’t need chocolate but it’s bloomin lush & makes you feelgood and that is just like our nursing tees. We’re not trying to fool anyone by saying you can’t breastfeed without buying one of our shirts, of course you can, but one of the big benefits of our breastfeeding tops is they don’t look like the old fashioned kinda nursing tops.

We would like to think that even if you weren’t nursing your little one you would wanna wear our shirts. They have super funky , cool prints, and the nursing design is on an under layer which you can’t see from looking at the shirt (ie they are 2 shirts in 1, “normal” tee ontop, vest like underlayer underneath).

So don;t think of the shirt as having a limited life span in your wardrobe, it hasn’t , you can wear it for as long as you like. That is the unique things about our tees, they look realy cool and “normal”.

I suppose it’s because we were both born in the 70’s but i just had a little browse around You Tube as i normally do and ended up watching my all time favourite movie from the 80’s The Breakfast Club.

Man i love this movie so much, i think i can identify with all the characters in some way. Plus the theme music totally rocks, i use to love simple minds at one time too. Of course Back To The Future is another movie classic which i totally love too. Michael J Fox was such a hottie in a pint size kinda way. If you were a real BTTF fan you would have watched TeenWolf too, that makes me laugh, really dated now but funny.

Anways we thought because we always like to be a bit different we are going to celebrate our love of the 80’s and give you a little taste of the 80’s with each purchase. So when you buy from us  (either a maternity T-shirt or breastfeeding T-shirt) we are going to give you a little suprise. Don’t get too excited it’s not anything mega expensive but it’s just a token of our thanks.

Well christmas is really not very far away, and if you are shrewd i’d get your christmas shopping in early this year. Don’t know about you but i always end up spending more on pressies when i leave it later. anyways we are just about to do another run to the screen printers for our tees, so just to update you we are getting 

more Kat Breastfeeding T-shirts (Grey) in soon, in all the sizes ie 8-18 .

We are also going to get some more Island Nursing  tops in white in all the sizes, so keep an eye out for them. We are also getting a new design, can’t say too much until it’s out but we love it and it’s quite cute but with a Twist!!

We recently have been chatting to the lady who runs a really cool forum called Bristol Parents , it’s basically a really friendy forum where parents or parents to be based in the Bristol area can come together and have a chat. 

Unlike some forums there is a good community base, and there is regular daily chats going on,  quite a few pregnant ladies there.too,SO maybe if you are based in Bristol and pregnant you could make some new friends. It’s always nice to be able to chat to someone who can relate exactly to yourself!

 Upon our travels to starting up Mama feelsgood.com we have come across lots of T-shirt companies, and we gotta say one of the best, fresh, young T-shirt business is www.lintyfresh.com .

I’m addicted to buying tees from them already, and badges (or as the US call them buttons) and even though they are delivered from the USA they arrive really qickly and work out cheaper than buying in the UK. Matt (my husband) doesn’t know yet but i’m looking at the Keith Tee for a christmas present he can buy me ; hee hee.

 Eric the guy who owns Linty Fresh has been such a help to us here at Mama Feelsgood, even though he doesn’t know it! He is super kind and helpfull on alot of aspects to do with the T-shirt business and it’s rare to find another business person who will actually help and actively encourage rather than dissmay. This is our last order of Tees we had delivered, infact it was the first ever lot of mass shirts we had so we were super excited when the HUGE lorry arrived to frop them off. Must be a good omen because the delivery arrived on my daughters birthday yee haa. Luckily she didn’t mind and it didn’t interupt her celebrations, just had an extra lorry driver as a party guest!!! He liked it!

Anyways shortly Mama Feelsgood will be taking stock of some more breastfeeding tees, and we have changed the style around a little. The under layer will now have lycra in it, so when you move it to one side to feed there is a little more give in it. The top layer will remain 100% jersey cotton, so still fabulous to soak uup all those little milk spills!
